How can I contact Seen for assistance or inquiries?
Our Customer Care team can be reached from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET from Monday to Friday.
Get in touch by giving us a call at 833-923-7336 or sending an email to help@seen.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
I received an invitation for a Seen Mastercard®, what do I need to apply?
First of all, welcome! We're very excited you're here. The application process is quick and easy. To get started, use the unique six-digit offer code enclosed in your email invitation or mail offer to unlock your application. You'll need to provide your full name, residential address, date of birth, Social Security number, income, and expenses to complete the application.
How long does it take to apply for an account?
Whether you have received a prescreened offer from us or have been prequalified through Seen.com, completing your application can happen in minutes. If you received a prescreened offer from us, use the unique six-digit offer code enclosed in your email invitation or mail offer to unlock your application.
Can I apply on behalf of someone else?
No. Applications generally must be completed and submitted by the person applying.
The Seen Mastercard® application asks for personal and financial information and the applicant's consent. To help protect personal information, Seen generally does not accept applications completed by another person.
If you are acting under a valid power of attorney or other legal authority, contact Customer Care at 1-833-923-7336 for more information.
These procedures are intended to support identity verification and protect applicant information.
Can I save my application and come back to it?
Applications cannot currently be saved mid-session. Plan to complete the application in one session. The application may be completed in a few minutes.
Before beginning the full application, you may choose to check whether you prequalify. Prequalification uses a soft credit inquiry and generally does not affect your credit score. It may indicate potential eligibility before the hard inquiry for a full application. Prequalification is not a guarantee of approval. Final approval depends on completion of the full application process and satisfaction of applicable underwriting criteria.
Can I update my application information after submitting?
The underwriting process may begin as soon as you submit your application, so online changes may not be available once review starts. Review all information for accuracy before submitting.
If you realize you entered incorrect information, such as a mistake in your Social Security number, date of birth, or address, contact Customer Care at 1-833-923-7336. The team can explain available next steps. A correction may not be possible after submission and does not guarantee a different outcome.
Do I need an invite code to apply for Seen?
No invite code is required to start prequalification for a Seen Mastercard®.
Some marketing channels and partner offers use invite or promotional codes to identify a specific offer. You do not need an invite code to start through the public prequalification page, subject to eligibility and product availability.
You may start at app.seen.com/prequalify. Prequalification generally takes a few minutes, uses a soft credit inquiry, and does not affect your credit score. For consumers who want to learn more about their eligibility before submitting a full application, prequalification may be a useful first step.
If you received a specific offer code through a partner or promotional channel, follow the instructions provided with that offer. If you do not have a code, continue through the public prequalification page.
How are applications evaluated from consumers with limited credit or low credit scores?
Decisions depend on the information in the application, your credit history, and other underwriting factors.
Credit card issuers use different underwriting models and may consider factors such as credit history, income, and existing debt. Limited credit history or negative information may affect an application. Each issuer applies its own criteria.
The information in your application and credit file is evaluated under the credit card issuer’s underwriting criteria. Applicants with a range of credit histories may be evaluated, but approval and credit terms are not guaranteed. Approval and credit terms are subject to each bank’s underwriting criteria.
Check whether you prequalify at app.seen.com/prequalify with no impact on your credit score. Prequalification uses a soft credit inquiry and may only take a few minutes. It may help consumers learn more about their eligibility before submitting a full application.
How do I check my application status?
Your application is reviewed as part of the underwriting process. In some cases, additional review or documentation may be required. If that happens, your application may show a pending status until the review is complete.
Check the Seen Mobile app and the email address you used to apply for status updates.
How do I verify my identity during the application?
Identity verification requires your full legal name, date of birth, current residential address, Social Security number, and, in some cases, a valid government-issued ID.
The identity verification step is built into the application flow. During the process, you may be prompted to provide the following:
- Your full legal name and date of birth
- Your current residential address
- Your Social Security number to help verify your identity and evaluate your application
- A government-issued ID (such as a driver's license or passport), in some cases
The information you provide may be compared with information from credit bureaus or other third-party records as permitted by applicable law. Inaccurate information and material discrepancies may delay verification or result in an inability to verify your identity.
Contact Customer Care if you are unsure which information or documents to provide.
How fast will I get a decision on my application?
Some applicants may receive a decision within minutes but some applications require additional review. Timing is not guaranteed.
In some situations, an application may be marked as pending if additional review or documentation is needed. If that occurs, Seen may notify you by email or through the Seen Mobile app when an update is available. Review times vary.
To check potential eligibility before submitting a full application and triggering a hard credit inquiry, visit app.seen.com/prequalify. Prequalification uses a soft credit inquiry with no impact on your credit score and may provide an indication of potential eligibility. It is not a guarantee of approval or terms.
How long does it take to receive my physical card?
If you are approved for an unsecured Seen Mastercard®, your physical card may generally be delivered within five to seven business days. The delivery period for the Seen Secured Mastercard® generally begins after the required security deposit has been successfully received.
If you are approved for an unsecured Seen Mastercard®, a temporary digital card is available immediately in the Seen Mobile app and can be used for eligible purchases. You may also be able to add it to a supported digital wallet, such as Apple Pay or Google Pay. Temporary digital cards are not available with the Seen Secured Mastercard®.
While you are waiting for your physical card, you may choose to set up autopay through the Seen Mobile app. Autopay may help schedule payments, but you remain responsible for ensuring at least the minimum payment is made by the due date and that sufficient funds are available. On-time payments are one factor that may affect credit scores.
Is the application available on mobile?
Yes. The prequalification application and the full application may be completed on a mobile device.
The Seen application and user experience are optimized for a mobile screen. The application flow is designed to guide you through each step.
You may apply on a mobile device using an iPhone, an Android device, or a mobile browser. You may need a stable internet connection and the requested personal information. The application may take a few minutes.
If you are approved, download the Seen Mobile app to manage your account and access a digital card if it is available to you.
Is there a hard credit check when I apply?
Yes. The full application requires a hard credit inquiry, which may have a temporary impact on your credit score, depending on other factors.
When you submit a full Seen Mastercard® application, the card issuer obtains your credit report and makes a hard inquiry as part of the underwriting process.
If you want to check potential eligibility before a hard inquiry, see if you prequalify at app.seen.com/prequalify. Prequalification uses a soft credit inquiry and does not generally affect your credit score. It may indicate your potential to qualify, but it does not guarantee approval or terms.
You may choose to prequalify before submitting a full application.
What happens after I'm approved?
If you are approved for an unsecured Seen Mastercard®, you will have access to a temporary digital card through the Seen Mobile app.
You may use the temporary digital card for eligible purchases and may be able to add it to a supported digital wallet. The physical card for an unsecured Seen Mastercard® is generally delivered within five to seven business days and may be used where Mastercard® is accepted after activation. Temporary digital cards are not available with the Seen Secured Mastercard®.
You may choose to set up autopay through the Seen Mobile app. Autopay may help schedule payments, but you remain responsible for reviewing statements, making at least the minimum payment by the due date, and ensuring availability of funds before the scheduled autopay date.
Your account activity, both positive and negative, is reported to national credit bureaus. Payment history is one factor that credit scoring models may consider. Making payments on time may help build or maintain credit, while late payments may negatively affect credit scores.
What happens if I'm denied?
If your application is denied, Seen will provide an adverse action notice required by applicable law. The notice will include the specific principal reasons for the decision or explain how to request them, as applicable. The notice can help you understand the factors considered, but it does not predict the outcome of a future application.
Reasons for a denial may include credit history, income, existing debt, or insufficient credit history, among other possible factors. If information in your credit report is inaccurate, you may dispute it with the credit reporting company and the company that provided the information.
What happens if I'm not approved — can I reapply?
You may be able to reapply, but timing and eligibility may vary. Review your adverse action notice and the current application instructions, including eligibility requirements. Consider the specific issues identified in the notice. You may choose to correct any inaccurate application or credit report information.
Before submitting a new full application, visit app.seen.com/prequalify to check potential eligibility. Prequalification uses a soft credit inquiry and does not affect your credit score. Prequalification does not confirm that conditions have improved and does not guarantee approval or terms.
What if my address on the application doesn't match my ID?
Address consistency can support identity verification. Enter your current residential address accurately. A difference between your application, identification, or other records may lead to a request for additional information.
Material discrepancies may delay your application or require additional documentation. Seen may compare the address you enter with information from third-party records.
If you have recently moved, use your current address and update your new address for other accounts as appropriate. Address updates may take time to appear across records. Contact Customer Care if you are unsure which address or identification documents to provide.
If you have concerns, contact Customer Care at 1-833-923-7336 before reapplying. The team may share what information or documents may be needed, but it cannot guarantee verification or approval.
Why did my application time out?
Application timeouts are typically caused by an internet interruption or session expiration.
If your session timed out, you may need to restart the application at app.seen.com/prequalify. Completing an application in a single, uninterrupted session may help prevent a session timing out. Ensuring you have a stable internet connection may help you avoid connectivity issues.
If timeouts persist despite a stable connection, contact Customer Care at 1-833-923-7336. The team may help troubleshoot and explain any available next steps for completing your application.
Why was my identity verification declined?
Identity verification may be declined or additional review may be required when Seen cannot verify the information you provided or when requested documentation is incomplete or inconsistent. Reasons may vary.
Common causes may include an outdated address, a name discrepancy, a data-entry error, or an inability to match submitted information with third-party records. Review the application information for accuracy. Material differences may require additional review.
If issues persist, contact Customer Care at 1-833-923-7336. The team can help explain the next steps, but correcting a discrepancy does not guarantee verification or approval.

Can I delete my account and associated personal information?

Generally, your billing cycles are at least 26-day periods, although your first billing cycle may be longer or shorter than 26 days. Your payment due date will be the same day each month and is reflected on each monthly periodic statement you receive.
What should I do if I notice unauthorized charges on my account?
If you notice any unauthorized charges on your account, please contact us as soon as possible at 833-923-7336 or send an email to help@seen.com. If you have a Seen Mastercard® account, you can also lock your card in the Seen Mobile app under "Cards" to proactively prevent further unauthorized use.

Credit Limit Increases
How can I qualify for a credit limit increase?
We review unsecured Seen Mastercard® accounts for credit increases automatically. We do not currently accept requests to increase credit limits. To become eligible for consideration for a credit limit increase, you need to have qualifying purchase activity on your account and, at a minimum, successfully make at least your minimum monthly payment on time for five consecutive billing cycles, not have exceeded your credit limit, and not have any past due amounts.
Am I guaranteed to receive a credit limit increase after making five on-time payments?
No. A credit limit increase is not guaranteed, even if you make five consecutive on-time payments, are not over the limit, and have no past due amounts. Successfully completing five consecutive minimum monthly payments is the first step in demonstrating responsible account use. After that, we will assess your ability to pay and manage your financial accounts for a possible credit limit increase, as required by law.
Please note that if your account is under a fraud-related review, we will only evaluate you for an increase after the review is completed.
How do I lose my progress towards eligibility for a credit limit increase?
You can lose your progress if:
- You miss making the required minimum payment in any billing cycle. If that occurs, your consecutive minimum payment counter will restart.
- You have no purchases over $1 or no minimum payment due for any six consecutive month period. If six consecutive billing cycles pass without qualifying activity, your payment streak counter will also reset.
Will multiple payments in the same billing cycle count toward the five consecutive minimum monthly payments needed for credit limit increase eligibility?
Multiple payments in the same billing cycle that meet the minimum payment due for that billing cycle will be honored as one payment towards the required five consecutive payments for eligibility. But multiple payments made in the same billing cycle which exceed the minimum amount due for the billing cycle will not count as more than one payment toward the consecutive five monthly minimum payments needed to be eligible for consideration for a credit limit increase.
What happens if I do not qualify for a credit limit increase after making five consecutive on-time minimum monthly payments?
If you are not eligible for a credit limit increase but have made five consecutive on-time minimum monthly payments, you will not lose your progress, provided you continue making payments, don't exceed your existing credit limit, or don't become past due. Your account will continue to be automatically reviewed every month for eligibility when these conditions are met.
How often can my account be reviewed for eligibility for a credit limit increase?
We regularly and automatically review all unsecured Seen Mastercard® accounts for credit limit increase eligibility. We do not currently accept consumer-initiated requests for a credit limit increase. You may become eligible for another credit limit increase in as little as every five months.
Can I increase my secured card limit by adding to my deposit?
No. Once your account is open, your Seen Secured Mastercard® limit is fixed and cannot be increased by adding to your deposit. The security deposit used to open the card equals your credit limit, up to $1,000. Additional deposits are not accepted while the card is open.
Can my credit limit decrease after I'm approved?
Yes. Credit limits may increase or decrease after an account is opened based on factors that may include account activity, changes in the credit profile, risk assessments, and other information available at the time of review. A limit may increase, decrease, or stay the same. The reasons may vary by account. If applicable law requires notice of a credit limit reduction or other adverse action, Seen will provide the required notice.
Does a credit limit increase trigger a hard inquiry?
Generally, no. Seen automatically reviews unsecured Seen Mastercard® accounts for credit limit increases. Seen does not currently accept requests to increase credit limits.
Credit review procedures may change. For current information about how an increase is evaluated, refer to your account terms and disclosures.
Does my utilization on other cards affect my Seen limit?
Possibly. Account reviews for a potential credit limit increase or decrease may consider credit information across your accounts, not only activity on your Seen account. No single factor determines the outcome of a credit limit review.
Balances and limits on other revolving accounts may affect your credit in other ways. Credit utilization may be measured in two ways: per-card utilization and overall utilization. Per-card utilization compares the reported balance on one card to that card’s limit, while overall utilization compares reported balances on all revolving accounts with the total available credit limits on those accounts. Utilization is one of several factors that may be considered by credit-scoring models. There is no utilization percentage that guarantees a credit limit increase.
No specific utilization level guarantees a Seen credit limit increase.
Does paying early help me qualify for a higher limit?
Paying before the due date may reduce the balance reported to national credit bureaus, but it does not by itself guarantee a credit limit increase.
Paying down a balance before it is reported may lower reported utilization. Reporting timing may vary, and the effect on a credit score varies by scoring model and information in the credit file.
Does spending more help me get a higher limit?
Not necessarily. Qualifying purchase activity, as defined by your account terms, may be considered, but eligibility depends on multiple factors. A credit limit increase is not guaranteed. A limit may increase, decrease, or stay the same.
How do I request a credit limit increase?
Seen does not currently accept requests to increase credit limits.
We automatically review unsecured Seen Mastercard® accounts for credit increases. To become eligible for consideration for a credit limit increase, you need to have purchase activity that meets our current eligibility criteria on your account and, at a minimum, successfully make at least your minimum monthly payment on time for five consecutive billing cycles, not have exceeded your credit limit, and not have any past due amounts.
A credit limit may increase, decrease, or stay the same. A credit limit increase is not guaranteed, and eligibility criteria may change.
How long do I need to have my account before Seen may consider an increase?
There is no account age that guarantees a credit limit increase.
A credit limit increase is not guaranteed, and criteria may change.
How does my credit limit affect utilization?
A higher credit limit may lower your credit utilization if your spending and reported balance stay the same.
Credit utilization compares a reported balance with the applicable credit limit. For example, a reported balance of $300 on a $1,000 limit represents 30% utilization for that account. A reported balance of $100 on that same limit is 10%.
How often does Seen review accounts for limit increases?
Seen automatically reviews eligible unsecured accounts for potential credit limit increases. Seen does not currently accept requests to increase credit limits.

Is there a maximum credit limit for Seen?
Maximum credit limits vary by credit offering. Credit limits are subject to change.
The Seen Secured Mastercard® offers a credit limit of up to $1,000 with a matching security deposit. Initial credit limits for the Seen Mastercard® and Seen Cashback Plus Mastercard® range from $300 to $3,000, based on creditworthiness and other factors.
Credit limits are set individually. Your approved limit is disclosed when you open the account.
What factors does Seen consider when setting my limit?
The underwriting process may consider information from your application, credit profile, income or assets, current financial obligations, and other information permitted by applicable law. Each application is evaluated based on the applicable underwriting criteria and the information available at the time of review. Applicants for the same product may receive different credit limits.
What is the average starting credit limit for Seen applicants?
Credit limits at account opening vary by applicant and product. The underwriting process may consider information from your application, credit profile, income or assets, current financial obligations, and other information permitted by applicable law. Each application is evaluated based on the applicable underwriting criteria and the information available at the time of review. This information is used to assess eligibility and determine the credit limit.
What are the credit limits on Seen’s credit-building products?
The Seen Credit Account has a $1,500 credit line that may be used only for eligible purchases in the Seen eBook Store. The Seen Secured Mastercard® has a credit limit equal to the approved security deposit, ranging from $100 to $1,000.
Payment activity and the credit limit are reported to national credit bureaus which may help you build credit over time.
Payment activity, both positive and negative, will be reported to national credit bureau(s). Credit scores are determined by many factors, including credit mix, age of accounts, number of hard inquiries and opened accounts over time, utilization rate, and payment history. Responsible account use may help build credit over time. Impact to credit scores will vary and some scores may not improve or may decline.
For details about your credit limit and account, refer to your account terms.
What is the starting credit limit on a Seen card?
There is no single starting limit for every Seen cardholder. Your approved credit limit is disclosed in your approval terms.
For unsecured Seen products, including the Seen Mastercard® and Seen Cashback Plus Mastercard®, the credit limit at account opening is determined during the application and underwriting process.
Why is my credit limit or available credit showing as zero?
Review your account status in the Seen Mobile app. Determine whether your credit limit or available credit are showing as zero.
Available credit may show as zero when balances or pending transactions use all available credit, a payment has not yet posted, or the account is restricted or closed. A displayed credit limit of zero may reflect an account-status issue. Contact Customer Care at 833-923-7336 if you need assistance. A representative may confirm the account status and explain whether any action is needed.
Why didn’t my account receive a credit limit increase?
Seen does not currently accept cardholder-initiated requests for credit limit increases.
Seen automatically reviews eligible unsecured accounts for potential credit limit increases. An account may not meet current eligibility criteria.
Rewards
How do I earn rewards with my Seen Cashback Plus or Seen Secured Mastercard®?
Simple. Use your Seen Cashback Plus Mastercard® to make everyday purchases of merchandise, groceries, gas, and other expenses (each an "Eligible Purchase"). Then make at least your monthly minimum payment each month toward those purchases. You will earn cash back in the form of a statement credit each time you make a payment applied to those purchases (an "Eligible Payment") on your account. The more you pay toward your purchases each month, the more cash-back rewards you earn. Terms and conditions apply. See Rewards Terms for additional details.
How are my Seen Cashback Plus or Seen Secured Mastercard® rewards calculated?
Seen calculates your cash-back rewards by applying the payments you make on your account against the purchases you have made. Payments applied to interest and fees do not earn cashback rewards. For example, if you make a $50 purchase with your Seen Cashback Plus Mastercard®, there are no unpaid interest charges or fees on your account, and you make a $25 payment applied to that purchase, you will earn either 1% or 2% cash back, whichever rate is applicable to your account, on that payment ($50 purchase - $25 payment x .01% or .02% = $0.25 or $0.50, respectively). Your accumulated cash-back rewards are automatically applied to your outstanding balance, if any, each month. Terms and conditions apply. See Rewards Terms for additional details.
When can I spend my Seen Cashback Plus or Seen Secured Mastercard® rewards?
Your cash-back rewards may not be redeemed for merchandise, applied toward the purchase of merchandise, or withdrawn as cash. Your cash-back rewards will be automatically applied to your account as a statement credit each month you have an outstanding balance. Your monthly statement will identify any statement credit automatically redeemed on your account as a "Cashback Rewards Redemption" in the itemized Payments, Refunds, and Other Credits section of your periodic statement. Terms and conditions apply. See Rewards Terms for additional details.
When will I see my first Seen Cashback Plus or Seen Secured Mastercard® rewards?
Once you've made your first payment, automatically redeemed statement credits earned from your cash-back rewards will generally be reflected in your next monthly statement, depending on when your billing cycle ends and when your statement credit is applied to your account. Terms and conditions apply. See Rewards Terms for additional details.
Do my Seen Cashback Plus or Seen Secured Mastercard® rewards expire?
No. Your cash-back rewards do not expire. Terms and conditions apply. See Rewards Terms for additional details.
What if I don't have a balance on my account?
Don't worry. Any earned cash-back rewards balance not redeemed as a statement credit will remain on your account and be applied when you do have an account balance. Terms and conditions apply. See Rewards Terms for additional details.
Is there a limit on earning Seen Cashback Plus or Seen Secured Mastercard® rewards?
No. There is no limit on how much you can earn in cash-back rewards. The more you spend and pay off, the more you earn. Terms and conditions apply. See Rewards Terms for additional details.
Can I switch my existing Seen Mastercard® account to earn cash-back rewards?
Unfortunately, not at this time.
Are fees eligible for cash back rewards?
No. Fees are not eligible for Seen Cashback Plus Mastercard® rewards. The program rewards payments applied to Eligible Purchases, which are qualifying purchases of consumer goods or services, not payments applied to account costs.
The following are not Eligible Purchases:
- Account fees
- Finance charges
- Balance transfers
- Cash advances
- "Quasi-cash" or cash-equivalent transactions
Because these items don't qualify as Eligible Purchases, any payment applied to them won't earn rewards. This distinction explains how rewards are calculated. Cash back is earned only when an Eligible Payment is applied to an Eligible Purchase. You may review your monthly statement to see how payments are applied. See the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions for the full list of exclusions and Eligible Purchase categories.
Are partial payments eligible for cash back?
Yes. A partial payment may earn rewards. The cashback reward is calculated on every Eligible Payment you make toward Eligible Purchases, whether that's a partial payment or your full balance.
For example, if you make a $100 Eligible Purchase and later make a $50 Eligible Payment, you earn cash back on that $50 portion at the rate stated for your account in your agreement. Any future payments you make continue to apply against your remaining purchase balance and earn rewards according to your agreement until the purchase is fully paid.
Cashback rewards depend on the amount of Eligible Payments applied to Eligible Purchases. Partial payments may earn rewards, but they do not change your minimum payment obligation or any interest or fees that may apply. For complete calculation details and applicable conditions, refer to the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions.
Are Seen cash back rewards taxable?
In most situations, cashback rewards earned are treated as purchase rebates rather than taxable income. However, tax treatment depends on your individual circumstances and applicable law. Seen does not provide tax advice.
Can fees be waived under any circumstances?
Contact Seen Customer Care for questions related to fee-related options available for your account. Any accommodation, if available, is handled under applicable policies and depends on individual circumstances. Any waiver is not guaranteed.
Contact Seen Customer Care at 1-833-923-7336, available 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday. You may also email help@seen.com.
Fees do not qualify for the Seen Cashback Plus Mastercard® rewards program, and payments applied to fees or finance charges on your account are not Eligible Payments under the program. A fee waiver, if granted, does not create an Eligible Payment or Eligible Purchase. Account status and rewards eligibility are governed by your agreement and the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions.
Contact Customer Care if you need information about available options.
Can I redeem rewards as a statement credit?
Yes. Seen Cashback Plus Mastercard® rewards are automatically applied and redeemed as a statement credit. Each billing cycle in which you carry an outstanding balance, your positive cashback balance is automatically applied to your account as a statement credit. No action is required on your part.
This credit generally appears on your periodic statement within one billing cycle after it's applied, listed as a "Cashback Rewards Redemption."
It may reduce your outstanding balance but does not satisfy your minimum payment due. You remain responsible for making at least your minimum payment due each month. Cash back also may not be withdrawn as cash or applied toward merchandise purchases. Under the statement-credit format, your rewards are redeemed automatically when the program's conditions are met.
See the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions for full details on redemption timing and eligibility.
Can I see my cashback balance in the app?
Yes. You can track your Cashback Plus activity in the Seen Mobile app, where the Rewards section shows your current cashback balance and related account details. You may use it to review rewards activity prior to receiving your monthly statement.
Your redeemed rewards also appear on your monthly periodic statement as a "Cashback Rewards Redemption" within the Payments, Refunds, and Other Credits section. This provides a record of how your cash back has been applied each cycle.
Beyond providing information about rewards, the Seen Mobile app includes features such as autopay setup, transaction alerts, card lock, and credit score monitoring. You may also use the app to review account activity, track account progress, and confirm whether payments have posted.
To review your current rewards information, log in to the Seen Mobile app or check your latest statement.
Can I transfer my rewards to another account?
Seen Cashback Plus Mastercard® rewards are tied to your individual Seen account and are redeemed automatically as a statement credit on that account. They may not be transferred to another account, person, or rewards program.
If you choose to close your account while it is in good standing, any unredeemed cashback balance is applied to your outstanding balance, if applicable. Any resulting credit balance will be refunded to you as required by applicable law. See the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions for more information.
If your account is closed due to a violation of the program or the agreement, any unredeemed cashback balance will be forfeited, subject to applicable law. If you have questions about a specific scenario, contact Customer Care at 1-833-923-7336.
For complete portability and closure rules, see the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions.
Do I earn cash back on my secured card?
Yes. The Seen Secured Mastercard® earns 1% cashback on Eligible Payments applied to Eligible Purchases, delivered automatically in the form of a statement credit.
The earning structure follows the Seen Cashback Plus Mastercard® model used for the standard Seen Mastercard®: cash back is based on Eligible Payments applied to Eligible Purchases. The same general exclusions apply: fees, finance charges, balance transfers, and cash advances are not Eligible Purchases and don't generate cash back.
The Seen Secured Mastercard® carries a $25 annual fee and offers a credit limit of up to $1,000 with a matching, refundable security deposit. Current card and rewards terms govern the offer.
For full reward details and applicable terms, see the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions.
Does the cashback program change if I miss a payment?
A late or missed payment may affect your rewards. In a billing cycle when your account is past due, you will continue to earn cashback rewards on Eligible Payments but cashback rewards are not eligible to be redeemed for statement credit on your account.
Cash back generally will not be redeemed as a statement credit in a billing cycle when:
- Your cashback balance is negative
- Your account is open but has no outstanding balance
- Your account is open but in a past-due status
- Your account is in a temporary fraud review status
Late or missed payments may be reported to consumer reporting agencies and may affect your credit score, but the impact varies by individual use of credit and scoring model.
Contact Customer Care at 1-833-923-7336 if you are having difficulty making a payment.
See the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions for full program details.
Does the Seen Credit Account come with rewards?
No. The Seen Credit Account does not include a cashback rewards feature. It's a structured credit-building account rather than a general-purpose credit card. No physical or digital card is issued, and the account may only be used for purchases from the Seen eBook Store.
The Seen Credit Account is designed to help you build credit history through consistent, on-time payments. Credit outcomes vary, and scores may not improve or may decline. It features no credit check at enrollment, no interest charges (0% APR), and no fees.
While it doesn't offer cash back, the Seen Credit Account provides a dedicated line of credit for eligible Seen eBook Store purchases. For information about products that offer cashback rewards on Eligible Payments, including the Seen Cashback Plus Mastercard® and the Seen Secured Mastercard®, visit seen.com.
See the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions for more information.
Does the Seen Secured Mastercard® have rewards?
Yes. The Seen Secured Mastercard® includes a cashback rewards feature. You earn 1% cash back on Eligible Payments applied to Eligible Purchases, delivered automatically as a statement credit on your account.
The rewards feature is subject to the card's terms and conditions.
As with all Seen applicable card products, rewards are earned on Eligible Payments applied to Eligible Purchases, and your account must remain open and in good standing to participate in the program. Any account review or product change is subject to eligibility and current terms.
See the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions for full program details.
How do I know whether my account earns 1% or 2% cash back?
The Seen Cashback Plus Mastercard® offers 1% or 2% cashback on Eligible Payments, and your statement and account documents identify the rate applicable to your account.
Your applicable rate is set out in the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions and account documents for your account.
Review the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions that apply to your account or contact Customer Care at 1-833-923-7336 to confirm your current reward rate.
How do I redeem my Seen cash back rewards?
Redemption is automatic. Your positive cashback balance is automatically applied as a statement credit on your account in each billing cycle where you have an outstanding balance owed.
On your monthly periodic statement, this appears as a "Cashback Rewards Redemption" in the itemized Payments, Refunds, and Other Credits section. The statement shows how much cash back was applied and when.
A few things to note:
- Cashback rewards can’t be redeemed for merchandise, applied toward a merchandise purchase, or withdrawn as cash.
- Cashback rewards can’t be used to satisfy your monthly minimum payment due. You must still make at least your minimum payment each cycle.
- No separate request is required to redeem your rewards; they are applied as a statement credit when the program's conditions are met.
For complete redemption rules and applicable conditions, see the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions.
What are key features of Seen's cashback program?
Seen’s cash back program offers 1% or 2% cashback, depending on the terms for the account, on Eligible Payments applied to Eligible Purchases. The program's features and eligibility rules are described in the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions.
Key features include:
- Rewards are based on Eligible Payments applied to Eligible Purchases
- There is currently no monthly or annual limit on the cashback rewards you can earn, subject to the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions.
- Unredeemed cash back remains subject to account-status, closure, and program-change provisions
- Automatic statement-credit redemption; no separate redemption request is required
For further details, review the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions or contact Customer Care at 1-833-923-7336.
What other features accompany Seen's rewards program?
Seen offers rewards on Eligible Payments for certain card products. The applicable rate and other terms depend on the product and the account documents.
Features include:
- Rewards on repayment: Cash back is based on Eligible Payments applied to Eligible Purchases.
- No earning cap: There is currently no limit on the cashback rewards you may earn.
- Account-status rules: Unredeemed cashback rewards are subject to account status, closure, and program-change provisions in the Rewards Terms.
- Automatic redemption: Cash back is applied as a statement credit when program conditions are met; no separate request is required.
Seen reports account activity to national credit bureaus and offers credit score monitoring through the app, which lets you view your VantageScore® 3.0, provided by Experian, directly in the Seen Mobile app. Credit outcomes vary and depend on multiple factors.
For complete program terms and current qualification criteria, see the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions.
Is there a cap on how much cashback I can earn?
The current Rewards Terms do not identify a monthly or annual cashback cap for the Seen Cashback Plus rewards program. Cashback depends on Eligible Payments applied to Eligible Purchases and the rate for your account.
If your account has no outstanding balance in a billing cycle, a positive cashback balance generally remains on the account until it can be redeemed under the Rewards Terms. Unredeemed cashback remains subject to account-status, closure, and program-change provisions.
See the current Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions for conditions that may affect earning, redemption, or forfeiture.
What counts as a qualifying payment for cashback purposes?
A qualifying payment (an "Eligible Payment") is a payment on your account that's applied to an Eligible Purchase and successfully posts without being returned, dishonored, disputed, or canceled. Only these payments earn Cashback Plus rewards.
A few important exclusions to keep in mind:
- Payments made through credit protection benefits are not Eligible Payments.
- Cashback balances automatically redeemed as a statement credit are not Eligible Payments.
- Payments applied to fees, interest, or finance charges do not earn rewards because they are not Eligible Purchases.
Cash back is earned when payments are applied to Eligible Purchases. Payments applied to account costs do not qualify. The amount of cash back depends on Eligible Payments and the reward rate for your account.
For full definitions and a complete list of qualifying payment types, refer to the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions.
When do my cashback rewards post to my account?
Your cashback balance, if any, will be automatically redeemed as a statement credit on your account in each billing cycle with an outstanding balance owed and will generally be reflected on your statement within one billing cycle after being redeemed. Timing may vary.
A redeemed cashback balance appears on your periodic statement. You'll see it listed as a "Cashback Rewards Redemption" in the Payments, Refunds, and Other Credits section of your statement.
If your account has no outstanding balance in a given cycle, a positive cashback balance generally stays on your account until it can be applied automatically. Unredeemed cashback remains subject to account-status, closure, and program-change provisions. Redemption timing is governed by the Rewards Terms.
See the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions for full timing details and any applicable conditions.
Does Seen offer cash back on purchases?
No. The program is structured around Eligible Payments rather than purchases. Seen's Cashback Plus rewards program links cashback rewards to payments applied to Eligible Purchases. This approach links rewards to repayment activity.
When redeemed, cashback rewards may reduce any outstanding balance. Cash back does not replace the required minimum payment or guarantee a particular credit outcome.
For program details, see the Seen Rewards Terms & Conditions.
Credit Protection
What is Seen Credit Protection?
Seen Credit Protection is an optional product that may help cover the monthly minimum payment due, or in some instances, pay off the balance due, on your Seen Mastercard® if you experience an "Eligible Event."
What is an Eligible Event?
- Involuntary unemployment
- Disability
- Loss of life (death)
- Hospitalization
- Auto-service expense
- Medical expense
- Natural disaster
Eligibility conditions and benefit limitations apply. See the Terms and Conditions for complete details.
How does Seen Credit Protection work?
If an Eligible Event occurs and you are enrolled in Seen Credit Protection, you may file a claim for benefits. If approved, the minimum payment due or the balance owed, as applicable, as of the benefit approval date will be paid.
How are Seen Credit Protection benefits requested?
Benefits can be requested by calling credit protection customer service at 866-846-8247.
Is there a cost for Seen Credit Protection?
Yes. A monthly fee for Seen Credit Protection will be charged for each month you have a balance, calculated at the rate of 1.69% per $100 ($1.69 per $100) of that balance. If your balance is $0, there will be no fee for Seen Credit Protection charged for that month.
Can Seen Credit Protection be canceled?
Yes. You can cancel your enrollment in Seen Credit Protection by calling credit protection customer service at 866-846-8247. If you cancel within 30 days of your initial enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
Credit Score Monitoring
What is the Credit Score Monitoring feature?
Credit Score Monitoring lets you view your VantageScore® 3.0, provided by Experian, directly in the Seen Mobile app. Each month, you'll get:
- Your most recent VantageScore® and the date it was updated
- How your VantageScore® has changed since last month
- Your VantageScore® total progress since you joined Seen
- A simple graph of your last six months of VantageScores®
- The top positive and negative factors influencing your VantageScore® each month, so you can see which aspects of your credit profile had the biggest impact
How often is my credit score updated?
Your VantageScore® is refreshed once a month, typically around the 27th of each month. Sometimes it may take a few extra days for the new VantageScore® to appear in the Seen Mobile app.
Does checking my VantageScore® in the Seen Mobile app affect my credit?
No. Viewing your VantageScore® in the Seen Mobile app has no impact on your credit. Seen uses a "soft pull" to retrieve your score, which is free and does not affect your credit in any way.
What type of credit score will I see?
Seen displays your VantageScore® 3.0 provided by Experian. This score ranges from 300 to 850 and is designed to help you understand your credit health.
Why is the VantageScore® I see in the Seen Mobile app different from scores I see elsewhere?
Credit scores can differ because:
- Lenders may use different scoring models (VantageScore® vs. FICO®).
- Each credit bureau (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion) may have slightly different data about your accounts.
- Your credit file changes over time, so scores can vary even from day to day.
I don't see a credit score in my app — why not?
Your VantageScore® may not be available if:
- Your Seen account is less than 30 days old.
- Experian hasn't yet returned your report for the month.
If you don't see your VantageScore® within two months of joining Seen, please email Seen Customer Care at help@seen.com so we can help.
Can I stop receiving VantageScore® updates?
Yes. You can opt out of Credit Score Monitoring at any time in the Seen Mobile app, directly from the Credit Score Monitoring page.
Where can I get a full credit report?
For a free annual credit report from all three bureaus, visit AnnualCreditReport.com.
Are fraud alerts included with Seen’s score monitoring feature?
No. Seen’s Credit Score Monitoring does not place fraud alerts on your credit reports.
Credit Score Monitoring lets you view your VantageScore® 3.0, provided by Experian®, directly in the Seen Mobile app.
A credit-report fraud alert is placed by a nationwide credit bureau at the consumer’s request or at the request of an authorized representative. A consumer may contact Equifax, Experian®, or TransUnion. If you request a fraud alert from one nationwide consumer reporting agency, that bureau will notify the other two so they can place alerts on your credit files.
Can I export my score history from Seen?
No. The Seen mobile app does not currently offer an option to export or download this information.
Can I see a history of how my score has changed?
Yes. Credit Score Monitoring lets you view your VantageScore® 3.0, provided by Experian®, directly in the Seen Mobile app.
Each month, you’ll get:
- Your most recent VantageScore® and the date it was updated
- How your VantageScore® has changed since last month
- Your VantageScore® total progress since you joined Seen
- A simple graph of your last six months of scores from VantageScore®
Can I set score change alerts in the Seen app?
No. Alerts, including notifications when your score changes, are not currently available in the Seen Mobile app.
The app provides updates to your VantageScore® 3.0, provided by Experian®. Your VantageScore® is refreshed once a month, typically around the 27th of each month. Sometimes it may take a few extra days for the new VantageScore® to appear in the Seen Mobile app.
Does score monitoring work differently on the secured card?
No. Credit Score Monitoring is available for all credit offerings, including the Seen Secured Mastercard®. Your VantageScore® 3.0, provided by Experian®, is available in the Seen Mobile app.
Your VantageScore® may not yet be available if:
- Your Seen account is less than 30 days old.
- Experian® hasn’t yet made your monthly score available
If you don’t see your VantageScore® within two months of opening your Seen account, please email Seen Customer Care (help@seen.com) so we can help.
Does Seen explain why my score went up or down?
Each month, Experian® provides the most heavily weighted positive and negative factors influencing your VantageScore® 3.0. That information is available in your Seen Mobile app.
The information may help you understand how the scoring model evaluated the information in your credit profile for that month. It is not a recommendation to take a particular financial action, and it is not a full credit report.
Credit scores may change for many reasons and may vary based on the credit-scoring model, credit bureau data, or reporting date.
Does Seen show me my FICO® Score or VantageScore®?
Your VantageScore® 3.0 score, provided by Experian®, is available in the Seen Mobile app.
Your VantageScore® 3.0 is different from a FICO® Score. Lenders and other companies may use different credit score models or data from another credit bureau. This does not mean either score is incorrect – they are simply different scoring models. Credit scores may vary by credit-scoring model, credit bureau data, and/or reporting date.
Does Seen show me which factors are hurting my score most?
For each monthly update, the Seen Mobile app shows the top positive and negative factors influencing your VantageScore® 3.0.
The information may help you understand how the model viewed your credit profile for that month. It is not a recommendation to take a particular financial action, and it is not a full credit report.
Credit scores may change for many reasons, and may vary by credit-scoring model, credit bureau data, or reporting date.
How often does Seen update my credit score?
Your VantageScore® is refreshed once a month, typically around the 27th of each month. Sometimes it may take a few extra days for the new VantageScore® to appear in the Seen Mobile app.
The score is based on information in your Experian® credit file when the score is calculated, so it may not reflect a recent payment, balance change, or other account activity. Updates depend on when your creditors report new information to Experian® and when that data flows into your credit file.
Is score monitoring available immediately after I open my account?
Your VantageScore® may not yet be available if your Seen account is less than 30 days old or if Experian® has not yet provided your score information for the month.
If you don’t see your VantageScore® within two months of joining Seen, please email Seen Customer Care (help@seen.com) so we can help.
Is Credit Score Monitoring included at no extra cost?
Yes. Credit Score Monitoring is currently available at no additional charge for all credit offerings.
- The top positive and negative factors influencing your VantageScore® each month
Open the Credit Score Monitoring page in the app to view the information or opt out of the feature.
What is the score range shown in the Seen app?
Seen displays a VantageScore® 3.0, provided by Experian®. Scores calculated using that model range from 300 to 850. The score provided in the Seen Mobile app is based on the credit information available to Experian® when the score is calculated.
Does viewing my score in the app affect my credit?
No. Viewing your VantageScore® in the Seen Mobile app uses a soft inquiry and does not affect your credit score.
Credit Reporting
Can I request that Seen stop reporting to a specific bureau?
No. Furnishers, including credit card issuers, generally cannot selectively suppress accurate reporting to individual credit reporting agencies (CRAs). Seen reports to all three national credit bureaus. Cardholders cannot choose reporting to only one specific bureau. Seen generally reports account activity to Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax each month, subject to Seen's reporting practices, your account status, and applicable law. Three-bureau reporting makes your account information available across the national credit reporting system.
This matters because a lender may review information from any of the three bureaus. If an account is reported to only one or two bureaus, the account may not appear in a report pulled from a different bureau. Reporting to all three helps make the same account information more broadly available.
If you believe information reported about your Seen account is inaccurate or incomplete, you have options. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), you may dispute information you believe is inaccurate or incomplete. You can contact Seen Customer Care at 1-833-923-7336 to ask what was reported. You may also file a dispute with the credit bureau showing the issue.
Keep in mind that disputing information is different from opting out of reporting. A dispute asks that inaccurate or incomplete information be investigated and corrected, deleted, or verified as accurate. It does not stop accurate reporting. Accurate account information may continue to be furnished to credit bureaus. On-time payments and responsible account use may be reflected in your credit history over time, but results vary based on many factors.
Does a Seen account count as a revolving credit line?
Yes. The Seen Mastercard® is reported as a revolving credit account. The Seen Credit Account is a retail account with a revolving portfolio type.
Unlike an installment loan with fixed monthly payments and a set payoff schedule, a revolving account gives you a credit line you can borrow against, repay, and use again up to your available credit limit. Each month, your balance, credit limit, and payment activity are reported to Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax by Seen, subject to Seen's reporting practices, your account status, and applicable law. This information may be considered by lenders and credit scoring models when evaluating your credit profile. Revolving accounts may also affect your credit utilization ratio, which compares your outstanding balance to your available credit. Credit utilization is one of several factors that may influence credit scores. In general, a lower balance relative to your credit limit may affect credit scores differently than a higher balance, but the impact varies by scoring model and other information in your credit file.
The Seen Mastercard® reports as a revolving account. Consistent, on-time payments and responsible credit use may help build a positive payment record across all three national bureaus, depending on other information in your credit file.
The takeaway: your Seen account functions as a revolving credit line. It may help you establish or strengthen credit history when it is used responsibly and paid on time, but credit results vary.
Does opening a Seen account hurt my credit score?
The full application requires a hard credit inquiry, which may temporarily lower your credit score. This is common for credit card applications. The impact of a hard inquiry varies and depends on other information in your credit file.
You can check whether you prequalify before submitting a full application. Prequalification uses a soft credit pull, which does not affect your FICO® Score. Prequalification can help you understand whether you may be eligible before you submit a full application that involves a hard inquiry, but it does not guarantee approval.
Opening and using an active Seen account may affect your credit over time. Seen generally reports positive and negative payment activity to all three national bureaus every month, subject to Seen's reporting practices, your account status, and applicable law. Consistent on-time payments may help build your credit history over time, depending on other factors.
Start with prequalification if you want to review potential eligibility before submitting a full application.
Does Seen report both positive and negative history?
Yes. Seen generally reports positive and negative payment activity to Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax every month, subject to Seen's reporting practices, your account status, and applicable law. Your payment history is reported so that the credit bureaus can include it in your credit file.
Reporting both positive and negative activity matters because credit files are meant to reflect account history. Positive activity, including on-time payments and responsible use of credit, may help build credit history. Negative activity, such as a missed or late payment, may also be reported.
Payment history can be an important factor in credit scores. When you pay on time, Seen reports that activity to all three national bureaus. Seen also reports negative payment activity when applicable.
To help with on-time payments, many cardholders use reminders or set up autopay in the Seen Mobile app.
Bottom line: Seen reports both positive and negative payment activity. On-time payments and responsible credit use may support credit history over time, but results vary.
Does Seen report to all three credit bureaus?
Yes. Seen generally reports to all three national credit bureaus: Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax, each month, subject to Seen's reporting practices, your account status, and applicable law.
The three national bureaus operate independently. Each maintains its own credit file on you. Information reported to one bureau is not automatically shared with the others. If an account is reported to only one or two bureaus, it may not appear on the credit report a lender reviews if that lender pulls your file from a different bureau. Reporting to all three national credit bureaus may help make your account information more broadly available to lenders, although the information reflected in each bureau's file and resulting credit scores may vary. Seen generally reports positive and negative account activity, including balance, credit limit, and payment history, to all three national bureaus monthly, subject to Seen's reporting practices, your account status, and applicable law. That regular, three-bureau coverage may help make your Seen account information available across the national bureaus.
When you make on-time payments, that activity is reported to all three national bureaus. This may help lenders see your Seen account activity when they review a credit report, depending on which bureau and scoring model they use.
This three-bureau reporting applies across Seen's credit offerings. Whether you have the Seen Mastercard®, Seen Secured Mastercard®, or the Seen Credit Account, your activity reports to all three national bureaus, subject to Seen's reporting practices and applicable law.
Does the Seen Credit Account report to all three national bureaus?
Yes. The Seen Credit Account generally reports to all three national credit bureaus: Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax, every month, the same as the Seen Mastercard®. Reporting is subject to Seen's reporting practices, your account status, and applicable law.
The Seen Credit Account is designed to help you establish or strengthen credit history when used responsibly. Each bureau maintains its own independent file on you. Reporting to all three national credit bureaus helps make your account information more broadly available to lenders, although the information reflected in each bureau's file and resulting credit scores may vary.
Each month, your positive and negative account activity, including your balance, credit limit, and payment history, is generally reported to all three bureaus, subject to Seen's reporting practices, your account status, and applicable law. That means on-time payments and responsible credit use may be reflected with all three national bureaus. Payment history is one factor that may influence credit scores, along with other information in your credit file.
Although the credit offerings work differently, the Seen Credit Account has the same three-bureau reporting coverage as the Seen Secured Mastercard®.
Does the secured card report to all three credit bureaus?
Yes. Seen reports payment activity to all three national credit bureaus: Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax, regardless of credit offering. Payment activity for the Seen Secured Mastercard® is also reported to the three national credit bureaus.
This matters because a secured card can be used to establish payment history. Because the three national bureaus maintain separate, independent files, reporting to all three helps make your payment activity available across the bureaus.
A secured credit card is a credit card backed by a refundable cash deposit and is designed to help people build or rebuild credit. That structure may make credit more accessible.
How do I dispute a credit report error related to my Seen account?
If you see information related to your Seen account on your credit report that you believe is inaccurate or incomplete, you can take these steps.
First, you can contact Seen Customer Care at 1-833-923-7336. The team may review what was reported and discuss the details with you. Have your account information and a copy of the credit report showing the issue ready, if available.
You may also file a dispute directly with the credit bureau showing the issue, whether that is Experian, TransUnion, or Equifax. Because each bureau maintains its own independent file, dispute the information with the bureau where the issue appears. You may need to dispute with more than one bureau if the same issue appears in multiple files.
The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) gives consumers the right to dispute information they believe is inaccurate or incomplete. After receiving a dispute, credit bureaus are generally required to conduct a reasonable investigation within the timeframes established by the FCRA. Credit reporting agencies and furnishers have investigation obligations under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Providing clear documentation may help the investigation. Keep in mind the difference between a dispute and an opt-out. A dispute addresses information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or cannot be verified; it does not stop accurate reporting. Seen generally reports positive and negative payment activity to all three bureaus monthly, subject to Seen's reporting practices, your account status, and applicable law, and cannot exclude a specific bureau at a customer's request.
How does Seen show up on my credit report?
Your Seen Mastercard® account may appear as a revolving credit account on your credit report, issued through Coastal Community Bank, the issuing bank. Your credit report may show your Seen account listed with the issuing bank's information attached.
Your credit report may include information such as:
- Account name: the account and its issuing bank
- Balance: the amount currently owed on the account
- Credit limit: the maximum amount of revolving credit available to you
- Payment history: your record of on-time and late payments, if any
This information is generally reported to Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax each month, subject to Seen's reporting practices, your account status, and applicable law. Because the three national credit bureaus maintain separate credit files and may update information on different schedules, the information displayed by each bureau may vary. Payment history and credit utilization, which is the amount of available credit you are using, are among the factors that may affect credit scores. A lower balance relative to your limit may result in a lower utilization ratio, but credit score impacts vary. Individual credit results will vary because credit scores are determined by multiple factors.
What bureau does Seen pull my score from for monitoring?
Credit Score Monitoring from Seen lets you view your VantageScore® 3.0, provided by Experian, directly in the Seen Mobile app. This feature is available to all Seen accountholders.
There are two separate activities at play:
- Reporting: Seen generally reports your account activity to all three national credit bureaus, Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax, every month, subject to Seen's reporting practices, your account status, and applicable law.
- Monitoring: This is the score or credit information available to you for tracking changes to your credit score.
Your VantageScore® is refreshed once a month, typically around the 27th of each month. Sometimes it may take a few extra days for the new VantageScore® to appear in the Seen Mobile app.
To access the Credit Score Monitoring feature, open the Seen Mobile app and check the credit score section. Contact Seen Customer Care at 1-833-923-7336 if you have any questions.
Because the three bureaus maintain independent files and lenders may use different scoring models, a score drawn from one bureau may differ from a score pulled from another. Differences between bureaus can occur and do not necessarily indicate an error.
What credit bureau does Seen primarily report to?
Seen generally reports monthly to all three national credit bureaus: Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax, subject to Seen's reporting practices, your account status and applicable law. Each bureau receives your account activity.
The three national bureaus function independently and maintain separate credit files on you. Information reported to one bureau is not automatically shared with the others. If an account is reported to only one or two bureaus, it may not appear on the credit report a lender reviews if that lender pulls your file from a different bureau. Reporting to all three national credit bureaus may help make your account information broadly available to lenders, although the information reflected in each bureau's file and resulting credit scores may vary.
When does Seen report my account activity each month?
Seen generally reports your account each month, subject to Seen's reporting practices, your account status, and applicable law and on a regular cadence, to all three national credit bureaus: Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax. Reporting generally occurs after your statement cycle, although the timing of updates at each credit bureau may vary. Your reporting date may affect when updates appear at the bureaus.
Your reported balance may affect your credit utilization ratio. The balance reported to the bureaus may depend on the reporting date and other account activity.
Will my score always update on the same day each month?
Seen generally reports your account to nationwide credit bureaus each month, subject to Seen's reporting practices, your account status, and applicable law. Your credit report will generally be updated to reflect your Seen account within 30 days after your first periodic statement is generated. When Seen reports your account, the details reported may include your credit utilization, outstanding balance, payment history, and credit limit. This information will typically appear in your credit report one month in arrears. For example, your July credit report may represent your account activity through June. There may be months when your Seen account is not reported.
Here is how the process generally works. First, Seen reports your account activity to all three bureaus, Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax, on a regular monthly basis, subject to Seen's reporting practices, your account status, and applicable law. Then each bureau processes that data on its own schedule. Because the bureaus operate independently, they may update at different times. You might see your score change on one bureau before another.
Differences in timing do not necessarily reflect a problem with your account or reporting. They may reflect the time between when Seen reports and when a bureau updates your file. Credit scores may change over time, depending on many factors.
For the timing that applies specifically to you, refer to your terms and conditions.
Secured Card
When will I receive my Seen Secured Mastercard®?
If you are approved, you will receive your Seen Secured Mastercard® within five to seven business days after your security deposit has cleared your bank, which may take up to seven calendar days to process.
What is the relationship between my security deposit and my credit limit?
The Seen Secured Mastercard® is fully secured. Your credit limit will be equivalent to the amount of the security deposit you make. The maximum credit limit available with a matching security deposit is $1,000.
Will I get my security deposit back if I close my account?
If you close your account and you have no outstanding balance, your full security deposit will be returned to you. If you have an outstanding balance, we will apply your security deposit to that outstanding balance and return any remaining amount to you. You will remain responsible for any outstanding balances not covered by your security deposit. It may take up to 60 days to process the return of your security deposit.
Can I change to an unsecured Seen Mastercard®?
Yes. We will periodically review Seen Secured Mastercard® accounts to determine if they are eligible to graduate to an unsecured Seen Mastercard®. If we determine you are eligible to graduate to an unsecured Seen Mastercard®, we will return your security deposit to you.
Can I increase the credit limit on my Seen Secured Mastercard®?
No. Credit limit increases are not available on the Seen Secured Mastercard®. Your credit limit is established when your account is opened and will be equal to the amount of your security deposit. We will not accept subsequent security deposits to increase your credit limit.
Does the Seen Secured Card have rewards?
Yes. With the Seen Secured Card, you can earn 1% cash back as you repay the purchases (each an "Eligible Purchase") you make with your account. Terms and conditions apply. See Rewards Terms for additional details.
Can I use my secured card immediately after approval?
No. Once you’ve been approved for a Seen Secured Mastercard® and have made your security deposit, you must wait for your physical card. Your physical credit card will be delivered in 5 to 7 business days from the date your security deposit is successfully made.
Temporary digital cards are not available for this product.
After you receive and activate your physical card, you may use it wherever Mastercard® is accepted. Your credit limit is equal to your security deposit. Account use and payments are subject to your Cardmember Agreement.
Does a Seen credit-building option require a security deposit?
It depends on the product. Seen offers two options designed to help consumers build or rebuild credit over time with on-time payments and responsible credit use. The Seen Credit Account does not require a security deposit, while the Seen Secured Mastercard® does. For the secured card, the credit limit equals the deposit and cannot be increased later with an additional deposit.
Eligibility requirements for Seen products may change over time. See if you prequalify.
How do I move from the secured card to an unsecured card?
Using your Seen Secured Mastercard responsibly, including on-time payments, may support a path to eligibility for an unsecured Seen Cashback Plus Mastercard® and the return of your deposit if you qualify. Seen periodically reviews accounts to determine eligibility for consideration of this opportunity, which is not guaranteed. If we determine you are eligible, we may graduate you to an unsecured credit offering. You will be notified if you qualify for an unsecured card.
Seen does not currently accept requests from cardholders to be considered for this opportunity.
How does the Seen secured card compare to other secured cards?
Secured cards generally work in a similar way. A secured credit card is backed by a refundable cash deposit and is designed to help people build or rebuild credit with responsible credit use and on-time payments over time.
Features, fees, and benefits may vary by issuer. When comparing secured cards, consumers may review factors such as credit bureau reporting, rewards, APRs and fees, digital wallet compatibility, mobile app features, and whether the issuer offers a path to an unsecured card.
How long does graduation to an unsecured card typically take?
There is no set timeline for moving from a Seen Secured Mastercard® to an unsecured card, nor is a move guaranteed. Eligibility depends on your account and Seen’s eligibility criteria at the time of review.
Using your Seen Secured Mastercard® responsibly, including on-time payments, may support a path to eligibility for an unsecured Seen Cashback Plus Mastercard® and the return of your deposit if you qualify. Seen periodically reviews accounts to determine eligibility for consideration of this opportunity, which is not guaranteed.
Is the secured deposit held in a separate account?
Yes. Under the current Seen Secured Mastercard® Cardmember Agreement, the security deposit is held in a separate Collateral Account in the bank’s name and under its control. You cannot withdraw or transfer the funds, and the deposit does not earn interest.
Your deposit acts as collateral for the account and is required before the card is opened. The deposit equals your credit limit, and you cannot increase the limit later by adding to the deposit or requesting a credit line increase.
For details about how the deposit is held and used, refer to your Cardmember Agreement and account disclosures.
What is the APR on the Seen secured card?
The current advertised purchase APR for the Seen Secured Mastercard® is 35.99%. Rates and terms may change. The APR that applies to your account will be shown in the pricing disclosures provided with your offer and in your Cardmember Agreement.
Before opening an account, you may review the applicable interest rates, fees, and other pricing information. These disclosures explain how interest is calculated, when it applies, and other costs tied to the card.
Already have a Seen Secured Mastercard®? For the APR on your account, refer to your Cardmember Agreement and disclosures.
What is the minimum and maximum deposit for the Seen secured card?
The Seen Secured Mastercard® currently requires a deposit of at least $100 and no more than $1,000. The deposit amount equals the credit limit, so the maximum credit limit with a matching security deposit is $1,000. Requirements and terms may change over time.
During the application process, you may review the deposit amount available to you before deciding whether to open the account. The amount and related terms will be shown in your application disclosures and Cardmember Agreement.
When do I get my security deposit back?
If you close your account with no outstanding balance, your full security deposit will be returned to you. If you have an outstanding balance, we will apply your security deposit to that balance and return any remaining amount to you. You will remain responsible for any outstanding balances not covered by your security deposit. It may take up to 60 days to process the return of your security deposit.
The security deposit may also be returned if the cardholder qualifies for an unsecured Seen Cashback Plus Mastercard®.
Credit Account
What is the Seen Credit Account?
The Seen Credit Account is designed to help you establish or improve your credit profile with on-time payments and responsible account use.1 There are no credit checks, no interest, and no hidden fees.2
Monthly payments as low as $5 are financed through a dedicated $1,500 line of credit to the Seen Store. The first payment is made after your account opening. You will make an initial purchase of a 12-month plan for $60 financed through your Seen Credit Account. Your plan purchase grants you access to the Seen Store where you can make additional purchases with your account. You are required to make monthly minimum payments of $5 or 2% of your outstanding balance, whichever is greater. If your balance is less than $5, you will be required to pay your entire balance for that month. Your first monthly minimum payment of $5 will be made at the time you open your account. You may repay your full outstanding balance at any time.
We report your payment history and account details to national credit bureaus. With responsible use and on-time payments, you can establish and grow credit.1
How does this help build my credit?
Your account is reported to national credit bureaus as:
- Account Type: Charge Account
- Portfolio Type: Revolving
- Terms Frequency: Monthly
Each month you make your minimum payment on time, that positive payment activity is reported to national credit bureaus. Consistent, on-time minimum payments over time can help build or rebuild your credit profile.1
Where is the Seen Credit Account available?
The Seen Credit Account is currently only available to consumers in: Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. We will be expanding availability soon. Check back for updates.
How does the Seen Store work?
Your plan purchase includes access to our digital bookstore where you can make additional purchases with your Seen Credit Account. With your first ebook purchase, you can return to get a second ebook free. The ebooks you purchase with your Seen Credit Account may be printed, downloaded, or accessed anytime in your digital library in the Seen Mobile App, even if you choose to close your Account.
Your initial plan purchase and all subsequent purchases through the Seen Store will be charged to your Seen Credit Account and reduce the amount of credit available. You can make the monthly minimum payments towards your outstanding balance or pay off your balance in full at any time. The payments on your Seen Credit Account will be reported to national credit bureaus. As you repay your purchases, your available credit will be refreshed permitting you to make additional purchases from the Seen Store.
Is this a credit card? Will I receive a physical card?
The Seen Credit Account is a revolving line of credit similar to a credit card, but no physical or digital credit card is issued and it may not be used for general purposes, such as to purchase groceries, gas, or merchandise at brick-and-mortar or online retailers. It is a dedicated revolving line of credit which may only be used to purchase merchandise from the Seen Store.
What does it cost?
As low as $5 per month. When you open a Seen Credit Account, an initial 12-month plan purchase of $60 is debited from your available credit limit. You will then make an initial monthly minimum payment of at least $5 after account opening and each month thereafter to repay that first $60 plan purchase over the next 12 months. Minimum monthly payments of $5 or 2% of your outstanding balance, whichever is greater, are required each month you carry a balance. Additional purchases may increase your required minimum monthly payment. You may cancel your account anytime or extend your account every 12 months with subsequent plan purchases of $60. There are:
- No annual fees
- No interest (0% APR)
- No late fees
You are required to make at least your minimum payment due each month if you have an outstanding balance, regardless of whether your account remains open or is closed.
What happens if I miss a payment?
Missed payments in any billing cycle where you carry an outstanding balance will be reported to the credit bureaus and may negatively impact your credit score. We report missed payments when they become 30 days or more past due.
If you miss a minimum payment:
- You may receive payment reminders
- Your next required minimum monthly payment may increase due to past-due amounts
- Your account may be reported as delinquent to the credit bureaus
- If your account reaches 60 days past due, your account will be closed
To avoid negative credit reporting, it's important to make at least your required minimum payment every month.
What is auto-renewal?
Your initial plan purchase of $60 is for a 12-month period. Unless you elect to opt-out at account opening or prior to your renewal date, your plan will automatically renew every 12 months.
If auto-renew is active: You will be charged $60 to renew your plan each year on your auto-renewal date. You can view your auto-renew date in the Seen Mobile app.
If auto-renew is off: Your plan will automatically terminate at the end of the 12-month term and your account will be closed to further purchases through the Seen Store. If there is an outstanding balance remaining at the time the account is closed, you will remain responsible for making minimum monthly payments until paid in full. We will continue to report your account, including any applicable payment activity, to national credit bureaus.
You will not be able to reopen the same account after it has been closed and will need to apply for a new Seen Credit Account if you want to maintain an account. You can manage auto-renewal in the Seen Mobile app.
What happens if I close my account early?
If you close your account early:
- Your account is reported to national credit bureaus as closed.
- If you prepaid for future months, you may receive a refund for unused months, consistent with your agreement terms.
How soon will my account be reported to credit bureaus?
We report to national credit bureaus within as little as 15 days after account opening.
Can I pay more than the minimum?
Yes. You may pay more than your required minimum monthly payment, up to your total outstanding balance owed, at any time. We will reject payments that will create a credit balance owed to you on your account. There is never a penalty for prepayment.
Closing Your Account
How do I close my Seen account?
You may close your Seen account by emailing help@seen.com or calling Customer Care at 1-833-923-7336.
Before closing your account, consider how closure may affect your credit profile. When you close a Seen account, its credit limit is generally no longer included in your available revolving credit. This is generally true of all revolving credit accounts. Closing your account may affect your credit utilization ratio, which is the percentage of your available revolving credit currently in use. Removing a credit limit may increase your utilization on your remaining revolving accounts, even if your balances have not changed. The effect on a credit score varies by scoring model and individual credit profile.
A few items to review before you close your account:
- Outstanding balance: You may request closure while a balance remains, but you must continue to pay what you owe under the account terms. Interest and other charges may continue to apply.
- Review rewards or benefits: If your account offers rewards or other benefits, review the applicable terms in your agreement. Treatment of unredeemed rewards depends on the product, account status, and reason for closure. Review the account’s terms and conditions for more information.
- Review recurring charges: Ensure you’ve removed this account from any subscriptions or automatic payments.
- Your account may remain on your credit reports for a period of time after it is closed.
What happens to my account if I don't use it for a long time?
Inactive Seen accounts may be reviewed and could be closed as permitted by your cardmember agreement and applicable law. Account activity does not guarantee that an account will remain open.
Dormant accounts may affect your credit profile. Card issuers, including Seen, may periodically review accounts that show little or no activity over an extended period. An account left unused may be closed, but the timing and criteria vary. Any effect on your credit profile depends on other information in your credit report and the scoring model used.
If you choose to keep the account open, consider these account-management steps:
- Purchase activity: Keep in mind that no specific purchase amount or frequency on the card guarantees that the account will remain open.
- Set a reminder to review the account: Statements and alerts may help you monitor fees, charges, or notices.
- Pay by the due date: Ensure at least your minimum payment is received by the due date. Review your agreement for information about payment terms.
Keeping an account open may affect factors used by credit scoring models, including utilization and credit history. If the account is closed, this may reduce available revolving credit and may raise utilization on remaining revolving accounts. A closed account may continue to appear on your credit reports and may be considered by some scoring models.
What happens to my credit report if I close my Seen account?
When you close your Seen account, it may remain on your credit reports for a period of time. Positive and negative account information may remain after closure. A late payment can stay on your credit report for up to seven years from the first missed payment date that led to the account becoming delinquent.
The length of time account information remains on your credit report depends on the type of information. The account information will not disappear immediately.
Closing an account may affect your credit utilization. Because closure may reduce the available revolving credit used to calculate utilization, your utilization ratio may increase. Any effect on a credit score varies by scoring model and individual credit profile, even if your balances have not changed.
Here are factors to consider:
- Utilization impact: If balances are reported on other revolving accounts, the removal of this credit limit may raise your overall utilization percentage.
- Credit history length: A closed account's history may continue to be considered while it remains on your credit report. The effect varies by scoring model and credit profile.
- Account mix: Some scoring models consider the types of accounts on your credit report. The effect of closing one account varies.
Why did Seen close my account?
Seen may close or limit an account as permitted by the cardmember agreement and applicable law. Any account closure notice you receive may provide additional information.
Account closures may occur for several reasons, including:
- Extended inactivity: Accounts with little or no activity may be closed. No specific purchase amount or frequency on the card guarantees that the account will remain open.
- Account terms: Violations of the cardmember agreement may result in closure.
- Account or portfolio reviews: Seen may close or limit an account after reviewing account activity or other factors permitted by the cardmember agreement and applicable law.
An account closure may affect your credit profile. When an account closes, it may reduce your total available revolving credit, which may increase utilization on other revolving accounts. A closed account may remain on your credit reports for a period of time. Any effect on a credit score varies by scoring model and individual credit profile.
Communications & Security
How do I know if the Seen website is official?
Visit seen.com, where you can get information about the Seen Mobile app, access the Help Center, and review credit offerings.
Websites using the Seen name with different web addresses, misspellings, or unusual domain extensions may not be legitimate. If you’re unsure if a website is fraudulent, check for web addresses that include extra words, misspellings, or unfamiliar domain extensions.
Fraudulent sites may encourage consumers to enter sensitive information, such as login credentials and financial details. Before entering personal information, double-checking the address in the browser and confirming that it matches an official Seen site may help prevent illegitimate activity.
If you're unsure whether a website is legitimate, close the page and type seen.com directly into your browser instead of using the link provided.
Account information, messages, and notifications may be accessed in the Seen Mobile app.
How do I update Seen's marketing communication preferences?
You may update marketing communication preferences for Seen by using the unsubscribe link in a marketing email. That link will direct you to a preference center where you may choose which marketing emails, if any, you want to receive, including an option to stop all marketing emails.
Changing marketing preferences through an email link does not stop account-related or other nonmarketing messages. Seen may send account-related communications, such as security alerts, transaction notifications, account updates, legal notices, and other information related to servicing your account.
How do I report a phishing email or text that claims to be from Seen?
If you receive a suspicious email or text message claiming to be from Seen, report it to help@seen.com.
Not responding to suspicious emails or texts, including not clicking links, opening attachments, or calling phone numbers in the message, may help consumers avoid phishing attempts. Not sharing banking details, login credentials, or one-time verification codes through an unverified link or contact method in a message is generally advised.
You may verify account information through the Seen Mobile app.
If you interacted with a suspicious message or shared information before realizing it might be fraudulent, contact Seen Customer Care at +1-833-923-7336 as soon as possible.
How do I stop marketing emails from Seen?
You may stop marketing emails from Seen using an unsubscribe link in a marketing email, which is usually near the bottom. Some email providers may also show an unsubscribe link near the top. Use that link to update your preferences and choose which marketing emails, if any, you want to receive. You may also choose to stop all marketing emails.
Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not stop account-related or other nonmarketing communications. Seen may continue to send account-related emails and, where applicable, text messages, such as security alerts, transaction notifications, account updates, legal disclosures, and other operational communications.
How do I verify that a Seen communication is legitimate?
Reviewing the sender information and verifying the message through a channel you know is official may help verify whether a communication is sent by Seen. Verifying a message is legitimate before responding, clicking links, or sharing any personal information may help consumers avoid phishing attempts.
Seen account information, notifications, and messages are available in the Seen Mobile app.
Contact Seen Customer Care at +1-833-923-7336 for additional information.

What is two-factor authentication and when is it triggered?
